Innovative Technology Services, LLC is a Limited Liability Corporation registered in the State of Missouri. The founder and president, Tracy R. Graham, is the sole owner of the company.
The company is a full service technology business that provides computer repair/maintenance, warranty work, computer upgrades, networking installation and consultation for mid-size businesses, local governments and the education market in the mid-Missouri area. The company also provides system management and contractual labor for business, government or education facilities. In addition to the service business, ITS has a retail operation where consumers can purchase computer equipment and other accessories for home, business or school use.
The business has grown from a one-person operation primarily providing consulting and maintenance/repair services to school districts, to a growing service and retail business that serves a large number of small and mid-size businesses and local governments in the mid-Missouri area. While the business still maintains a presence in the education market, the number of business and local government service contracts has increased to more than 70% of the present business. There are several avenues of potential growth in the coming years and in order to take advantage of these opportunities, the company needs to expand its present facility by moving into a larger building designed to meet the unique needs of the business.
Background
In 1994, Tracy Graham saw there was an opportunity in mid-Missouri for a technology service business. Tracy envisioned a company that would provide technology consulting and maintenance/repair service to a growing number of small businesses and school districts that were just beginning to install local area networks and connecting to the Internet.
Armed with the knowledge gained from six years of experience with Apple Computer and Computer Junction, Inc. in Washington, MO., Tracy founded Innovative Technology Services, LLC renting a small office space at 118 South Jefferson Street, Mexico, MO. When Tracy first started the company he was the consultant and technician, and his main customer base was maintaining networks for several mid-Missouri school districts.
Over the past 15 years the company has experienced significant growth and achievement because of Tracy’s business philosophy: “Our goal is to provide our customers with a total solution, tailored for them, to maximize their efficiency of technology in the work place.” In 2003 Innovative built a new environmentally friendly, high tech facility to enable ongoing support and products to existing and new clients.
The ITS staff prides itself in considering the human factor in helping businesses, local governments and schools make information decisions. “There is more to an information system than computers and peripherals,” says Tracy and ITS has developed a successful business by helping businesses, local governments and schools decide what software works best for their environment, how they can better utilize existing systems and how to increase employee productivity with technology.
Even with consumer confidence in the economy at an all time low, few would question the continued expansion of technology use in businesses, government, education, or in homes. Businesses, local governments and schools all use local area networks (LAN) and the Internet for communications. These systems require maintenance and upgrades to maintain the integrity of the system. In many situations, businesses and local governments and schools have become dependent upon the daily operation of their network. As new technology evolves, businesses, local governments and schools will replace out-dated technology with newer, faster, and better models. The average equipment turnover rate is 3 – 5 years.
